Kaiser Chiefs, purveyors of pogo-inducing pop music, play Oxegen 2005 on Saturday, the 9th of July.Promising to be the big music story of 2005, the Kaiser Chiefs are proving to be just as popular in Ireland as in the UK.
Kaiser Chiefs comprises the musical talents of Ricky Wilson on vocals, Andrew White on guitar, Simon Rix on bass, Nick Baines on keyboard and Nick Hodgson on drums. Taking their name from a South African football team, Kaiser Chiefs was soon causing a riot on the live scene and creating waves in the neo-wave revolution created by Franz Ferdinand.
For their concert at Oxegen, Kaiser Chiefs will be showcasing songs from their debut album, Employment released this March. Taking up the same imaginative space as The Jam and The Kinks, Employment features infectious songs like "Modern Ways", "Team Mate" and "Everyday I Love You Less and Less".
